Dear sirs,

Let me apologize first for writing in English (I am sorry but I do not speak French as I just moved).

Yesterday I got finally connected to free.fr: all steps have been completed
and the status on the web page says "Etape 6 - Votre connexion est activée".

However, the freebox at my home does not get connected to ADSL (it seems that it does not receive the signal
since it gets stuck at "etape 2" and after a while it says "verifier branchements xDSL/FTTH").

How could I solve this problem? I would directly call on the phone free.fr, but I am afraid they will not be able
to talk with me in English...  :(

As for the first remark: it happens that I have internet at work, which is where I am writing from.

As for chatting on the website of free.fr I have only found a place to chat with a bot...not very useful.

Is there an email address where I can write (I am able to write in French, given enough time for the translation).

BTW. anyone could answer in French too, as it is easy for me to read, but not to write!

UPDATE: I have find a way to file the problem on the website ("ouverture d'un ticket d'incident"). I hope soon I will be able to get a technician at my house... Will let you know!

Free will test that the signal is really living its DSLAM, and meanwhile also take some measure to estimate where the cable from the phone central goes to (only a distance, but it's often a good idea) : it's called : Test de position.
If it's not going up to a distance where you're supposed to be, they'll directly ask France Telecom to check the line. If the distance is about the same, or longer, what is needed to go to your place, then you'll have 1 technician visit you and take some futher measure, and if he cannot connect you, then he'll hand it to France Telecom

Hello.. I'm exactly in the same situation.. I don't speak (almost) a word of French and I received today the Freebox that it's stuck with that "Etage 2" error.. I just opened a customer assistance ticket.. how long did they take to solve your problem? Did u have to speak with a technician ??
