Nolan N100-5 Modular Motorcycle Helmet

The Nolan N100-5 integrates many premium features while maintaining a mid-range price. Thus, it counts among some of the lids worth the investment. Its overall shell is made of lightweight and durable Lexan polycarbonate.

Even though it doesn’t guarantee 100 percent safety protection, the helmet minimizes impact-related injuries.  That’s true because the Nolan N100-5 meets ECE and DOT certification requirements. Very few low-end helmets have dual safety certifications. So that’s a positive plus for the N100-5.

Its chin guard is easy to flip up or shut and offers you a high degree of safety protection. If you wear the helmet properly over your head, it feels very secure. From the shop, the N100-5 Consistency helmet comes complete with a Pinlock insert and Pinlock anti fog shield.

Still, its VPS sun shield gives you complete protection from harmful UV rays. And being scratch resistant its quality and performance are promising. The anti fog protection and sun shield all combine to guarantee you clear visibility in all setups. Once you fit the helmet over your head, you’ll hardly notice the wide eye port.

Nolan has infused the Airbooster technology and strategized the position of the vents. Doing so positions the helmet for all-weather comfort and ventilation. The front generous vent traps lots of fresh air onto your face. Also, Nolan has included numerous vent holes to keep the rider's head cool and comfortable.

One drawback to the helmet is that it runs smaller in size in comparison to other modular helmets of the same category. Thus, you need to consider that when choosing your fitting size

AGV Sportmodular Layer Helmet

AGV is an Italian helmet brand famous for manufacturing safe and lightweight helmets that also appeal in appearance. The brand also possesses years of experience designing quality helmets. The AGV Sportmodular is one such fabulous helmet from the brand that offers remarkable protection on the road.

The entire shell of the AGV Sportmodular is of carbon fiber. It therefore excels in lightness but doesn’t compromise sturdiness. AGV also gives the helmet a structure that boosts its aerodynamic stability. Considering it also withstands the abuse of harsh chemicals and intense heat, the Sport modular is reliable for all weather protection.

Even at higher speeds, the AGV Sportmodular still provides utmost protection and therefore shields you from deadly injuries. Like other reliable top modular helmet models, it has ECE and DOT certifications.

Further, the headgear gives you the provision of adding a rear spoiler at the back to minimize air turbulence. After clamping the chin bar, a reliable metal tab locks it tightly and so reduces chances of popping up accidentally.

Fogging often proves a setback to visibility. Fortunately, the AGV Sportmodular is fully compatible with Max Vision Pinlock which is also scratch-resistant. Combine the fog resistance shield and wide viewing plane and you’ll appreciate the high visibility ability of the helmet.

Its smoky sun visor promises ample vision in the glaring sunlight. And AGV has made it effortless to replace or remove the sun visor without requiring any tool. Crowning the Sportmodular’s safety is a visor lock system technique. It keeps the face shield clamped tightly even at high speeds.

Although the visibility and ventilation of the Sportmodular is outstanding, it has a minor drawback worth noting. The helmet’s sizes run small and therefore may feel slightly uncomfortable on the head for some riders after hours of riding.

SHARK Helmets EVO-ONE 2 Slasher Helmet

The Shark Evo One 2 slasher is ideal for women who require a unique flip front with high versatility. It can transform into a full face, open face, and even ¾ configuration with ease.  Most modular helmets open partially.

But the Evo One 2 has a chin bar that you can detach along the outer shell and transform it into a ¾ helmet. In short, the Evo One 2 helmet can play the role of 2 helmets. And in either form, it still maintains stability even at high speeds.

How could this happen? The EVO-One’s chin bar can be moved from the front of the helmet along its entire outer shell to the back, as opposed to just a standard flip bar that you can partially open. And for convenience, it's available in two shell sizes of thermoplastic material.

Whenever you buy the helmet, you get a free Pinlock set. If you flip or bring down the chin guard, the helmet’s visor follows the pattern automatically. That makes the whole setup easy to manipulate.

Another feature that makes the EVO One 2 convenient is the scratch-resistant integrated sun visor. Although the manufacturer claims it's removable, putting it back is a bit challenging. Unfortunately, in the full-face mode, the Evo One 2’s ventilation feels inadequate.

When you engage in the full-face mode, air circulation in the lid is erratic and insufficient. On the other hand, the helmet registers less wind noise in real-life experience.

The overall design and construction of the EVO one 2 is above average. But there are a few parts that, if made from more durable parts, could have performed much better. Second, the EVO one 2 weighs almost five pounds. In comparison to other themes of its class, it feels very heavier and may cause neck strain to some individuals.

The three form some of the best modular helmet brands for women to consider. All the models have attained or surpassed international safety standards hence are very reliable. You can thus count on their safety rating. Whether you wish to settle on the Nolan, AGV, or Shark brand you can't go wrong with your choice.  Do you need the lightweight, reliable and appealing modular helmet? comb through the list!
